Abstract
In ancient historical times, Egyptians could predict coming weather while they were measuring water levels in Nile river, others observing the Alpha Canis Majoris, the brightest star in the night sky and in Spain, we use a traditional form of weather prediction: Las Cabañuelas.( Calculation that, observing the atmospheric variations in the first twelve, eighteen or twenty-four days of January or August, can forecast the weather during each of the months of the same year or the following).
There are many variants, depending on the geographical place we it is practiced. This method is used both in Spain and in America, but in each of them it is used in a different way. In our country, it is a calculation based on the first 24 days of August.
It is observed how the weather forecast evolves throughout those days and, to each of them, a month of the year is attributed. That is, on August 1, it will predict the weather for the month of August, day 2 belongs to September, and so on until the 12th, which is equivalent to July (next year).
From the 13th of August, the other way round, and things remain like this: the 13th will be the forecast for the month of July, the 14th is equivalent to June, thus August 24th is the forecast for the month of August. In this way, an analysis of the two days belonging to each month is made and the weather is forecast.
Apart from looking at the weather indicators, the characteristics of the Sun, the Moon, the stars, and the behaviour of animals.

–Based on the behaviour of ants, which are extracting soil in an exalted way from the anthills. When the ants see floods coming, they move their anthills. This is why it is foreseen the arrival of a new cold drop in Spain in short time.
— What will autumn’23 be like?– According to the method of the Cabañuelas and the study of the behaviour of the swallows, they have advanced the migratory period towards the south. This advance in migration demonstrates a certain alteration in the natural balance, which will translate into an important change in the climate. Everything indicates that we will face a tougher autumn than usual.
If you want to know more about, here you have some books (sorry, only in Spanish) which can provide you with more information about this non-formal but natural forecast prediction.
